Virtual Smells

The most difficult part of selling soaps and lotions on an online platform is accurately describing their magnificent smells. If you have been able to visit our store, you may already know what you want to purchase. However, we are consistently adding and removing soaps and lotions to our catalog. Below is an attempt to describe how each soap/lotion smell. 

Roughrider: Described as a masculine scent (although it has been a huge hit with women as well) it has base notes of oak moss, amber and woodsy musk. Middle and top notes of jasmine, lavender, bergamot and grapefruit. My dad gave it the name of Roughrider in honor of Teddy Roosevelt, who happened to be a big fan of the Black Hills of SD.

Sweetgrass: Sweetgrass is a herb often used by Native Americans. This fragrance oil captures the scent perfectly, giving feelings of a fall meadow at your nose. It is sweet and hypnotic with a green freshness. Once you smell it, you will be hooked—a very inviting fragrance. Reminiscent of a warm weather drive with the windows rolled down and the sweet smell of back country roads filling your nose.

Oatmeal Milk and Honey: Another top seller. A warm, creamy comforting scent.

Charlie: One of our favorite lavender scents. Named for Wild Bill Hickok's best friend, Charlie Utter.  It's a blend of Lavender, amber, black myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean, Egyptian musk, and clary sage. More on the masculine side of gender neutral. Fantastic!

Black Raspberry Vanilla: A fan favorite. It's a sweet mix of bergamot, pear, plum wine, vanilla, orchid, cashmere, and musk.

Lavender Sage: A classic. Soft Lavender and Earthy Sage, both loved by herbalists and nature enthusiasts, make this on irresistible. 

Tassi Lavender: For the lavender lover. This can be described best as classic lavender.

Cedar and Saffron:  Patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, spice and white musk. 

 

Coming Soon! Spring/Summer 2026:

Violet Moonshine:  It starts with notes of violet, lily, orchid, heliotrope, gardenia, honey, and plum. Bottom notes of amber, vanilla, woods, and musk add sweetness and depth. You'll Love it!

Birchwood: A combination of cypress, ozone, lime, sea salt, ocean moss and frankincense. We are excited to be offering this for the Spring/ Summer line and hope it will become a permanent option!

Lavender Lemonade: Who wouldn't love this combo? Bright lemons paired with mellow lavender. Always a favorite!

Lilac: Smells just like the purple clusters hanging from green bushes in June. A perfect scent for Spring!
